We went out with friends to celebrate our friend's birthday -- dinner first, then donuts, which in Saigon is a sit-down affair. I think it's funny how whenever I go out for comfort food like donuts, ice cream, or pizza I'm always the oldest person there. In Vietnam, it's mostly teenagers who eat these foods.Our friend brought her intensely photogenic niece along. If she looks familiar, it's because she resembles her older brother who was the star of my photo collection from our trip two years ago.
In all of the pictures after that last one with the donut, she only appears as a blur streaking around the adults at the table.
